Przedmiotem artykułu jest proces redukcji polskiego zadłużenia zagranicznego przez kraje zrzeszone w Klubie Paryskim i banki prywatne zrzeszone w Klubie Londyńskim.

The paper describes the formerly used methods of solving the problem of foreign debts of Poland and the prospects of reducing the burden of service of foreign debts in the near future. The agreement made with the Paris Club concerning the 50 procent reduction of the debts has been, as yet, the most radical move in that direction. Besides, it comprises 3/4 of total foreign debts of Poland. If Poland is to acquit itself of the obligations in full it is necessary to attain a comparable agreement with the London Club banks. The paper presents two exemplary variants of the reduction of the debt based on Brady's plan, and a description of certain so-called market techniques of the reduction of obligations. Beside the question of capital instalment payment, the problem of interest payment is raised.(original abstract)
