Abstrakty

W artykule omówiono wyniki badań poglądów ekonomicznych regionalnej elity władzy. Z badań tych wynika, że elita władzy charakteryzuje się niespójnym systemem poglądów ekonomicznych.

The article is based on the results of the empirical studies carried out in the second quarter of 1993 - as part of the activities of the F. Ebert Foundation - of political, self- -government and business elites of the Katowice, Kraków and Nowy Sącz Provinces. The results of the research were compared with those previously obtained while analyzing employees. It follows from the research that pro-market orientation is characteristic of the minority of the employees. The local ruling elites demonstrate a great difference of opinions concerning the economy. They accept privatization of the state-owned enterprises but, at the same time, they are in favour of state interventionism into the basic economic processes. The results of the analysis show that people who constitute the local ruling elites can hardly be considered animators of transformations that are to lead Poland towards a democratic country and market economy.
