The oldest known version of the liar paradox is attributed to the Greek philosopher Eubulides of Miletus. He reportedly said: A man says that he is lying right now. Is what he says true or false? The Sophistici Elenchi contain the only Aristotelian passage that may concern the paradox. In this paper, the author tries to answer two questions: Is Aristotle really discussing the paradox? If so, what solution does he propose?
