PL

Niderlandzkie związki frazeologiczne, tak jak inne rodzaje idiomów, nie mogą być tłumaczone dosłownie. Zawsze należy brać pod uwagę specyficzny szerszy kontekst, w którym występują. Z drugiej strony tłumacze mogą czerpać korzyści ze stałej struktury składniowo-semantycznej porównań oraz z wielu podobieństw między językami w zakresie frazeologii. W niektórych przypadkach tłumacze mogą także inspirować się tłumaczeniami, które są częścią różnych korpusów równoległych. Niniejszy artykuł opisuje i charakteryzuje pokrótce niderlandzkie porównania, następnie prezentuje sposoby tłumaczenia tych wyrażeń na inne języki. System tłumaczeniowy w artykule ilustrowany jest przykładami niderlandzkich porównań i ich czeskich odpowiedników. Na koniec, w oparciu o fragmenty tekstów z korpusu równoległego InterCorp, zbadano sposób, w jaki zostały przetłumaczone niderlandzkie porównania przymiotnikowe w czeskich przekładach niderlandzkich tekstów literackich.

The Dutch similes cannot—similarly to other types of idioms—be translated literally word by word. The specific, broader context in which they occur, must always be taken into account. On the other hand, the translators can benefit from the fixed syntactic-semantic structure of the similes and from the many similarities between languages in the field of phraseology. In various cases they can also get inspired by the translations that are part of the different parallel corpora. In this article the Dutch similes are briefly described and characterized. Then the possibilities are discussed how these specific idioms can be translated into other languages. This system is illustrated with several examples of the Dutch similes and their Czech equivalents. Finally, on the basis of the excerpts from the parallel corpus InterCorp, the way is investigated in which the Dutch adjective-based similes were translated in the Czech translations of Dutch literary texts.

Nederlandse vaste vergelijkingen kunnen — net als andere typen idiomen — niet letterlijk woord voor woord worden vertaald. De specifieke, bredere context waarin ze voorkomen, moet altijd in aanmerking worden genomen. Aan de andere kant kunnen vertalers profiteren van de vaste syntactisch-semantische structuur van de vergelijkingen en van de vele overeenkomsten tussen talen op fraseologisch gebied. In verschillende gevallen kunnen ze zich ook laten inspireren door vertalingen die deel uitmaken van verschillende parallelle corpora. In dit artikel worden Nederlandse vergelijkingen kort beschreven en gekarakteriseerd. Vervolgens worden de mogelijkheden besproken om deze specifieke idiomen in andere talen te vertalen. Dit systeem wordt geïllustreerd aan de hand van verschillende voorbeelden van Nederlandse vergelijkingen en hun Tsjechische equivalenten. Ten slotte wordt op basis van fragmenten uit het parallelle corpus InterCorp de manier onderzocht waarop Nederlandse adjectivische vergelijkingen werden vertaald in Tsjechische vertalingen van Nederlandse literaire teksten.
