Persuasion or manipulation? Based on selected parliamentary speeches

Abstrakty
This article attempts to demonstrate the difference between the two phenomena and to indicate where persuasion ends and manipulation begins. It provides examples of parliamentary speeches, in which one can find instances of both persuasion and manipulation as well as some other phenomena. In addition, examples of eristic and rhetorical devices used in the language of politics collected from other scientific publications are presented and their impact on the audience is discussed.
