The text is presenting the results of a research conducted in January 2011 on the Web 2.0 tools available in Polish university libraries. The author of the article has analyzed various methods of communication. One of the most dynamically developing means of communication between libraries and their patrons are Web 2.0 tools. There have been shown numerous examples of the implementation of Web 2.0 tools, such as RSS channels, blogs, tags, videos, forums and instant messengers on the university libraries` websites.
