The text presents a specific character of Ukrainian visual writing — carmіna curiosa or poesis nobilis (“famous writing”), poesis jucunda (“pretty writing”), poesis praecipua (“strange writing”), poesis laboriosa (“difficult writing”). The author presents the main stages of carmina curiosa at the level of impression during the Baroque and Neo-Baroque. The book by T. Nazarenko Poezographia: Contemporary visual poetry in Ukranian — Поезографія: сучасна зорова поезія українською мовою is the first anthology of Ukrainian visual wtiting. The anthology presents visual poetry of 28 writers in both English and Ukrainian languages.
