In the article on the basis of analysis of the names of settlements of Belarussian Poozerye revealed features of realisation of topographical code of culture reflecting the human perception of geographical realities having the proper names. The study of facts revealed that the formation of three groups of oiconyms serving the realisation of the code of culture conditioned by social, economic and cultural factors.
