Misja Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (Centrum Archeologii Śródziemnomorskiej) pracowała w Naqlun, na stanowisku monastycznym, w okresie od 1 do 26 września 2012 roku, kontynuując wieloletni program badawczy nad zabudową koptyjskiego klasztoru. Prowadzono także prace konserwatorskie nad zabytkami metalowymi odkrytymi w sezonach wcześniejszych, jak również studia nad monetami arabskimi pochodzącymi z pomieszczeń monastycznych.
