The aim of this article is to present an analysis of the fragment J. Chr. Pasek memories. By ana­lyzing possible to reconstruct the laid down therein structure values and meanings. Such an analy­sis is also a reconstruction of structures of culture. Adopted here is the assumption that culture is a system of values. By analyzing memories such as J.Ch. Pasek’s from the seventeenth century, it is possible to reconstruct the culture of Polish nobility of the period.
