The following contribution attempts to show some of the principles of aestheticism, to give a short introduction on O. Wilde’s life. It focuses on the principles which are reflected in The Picture of Dorian Gray, such as youth and beauty, the non-regret feature, etc. The work does not only provide the readers with the principles but also it gives the personal psychological insight.
