Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
French Jesuit missionary in China, Jean François Foucquet (1663 - ca. 1740), who later became 'Episcopus Eleutheropolitanus', is the editor of 'Tabula Chronologica Historiae Sinicae connexa cum cyclo qui vulgo Kia Tse dicitur' (Rome 1729), a work originally compiled by a high Manchu official Nian Gengyao (1665-1726). 'The Tabula Chronologica' covers 2164 years of Chinese history from 425 B. C. to 1729 A. D., and is constructed on the Chinese sexagenary cycle (jiazi). Apart from the emperors' official titles, the number of years in power, and their various 'nianhao' ('the style of an emperor's reign') are given. In addition, some more significant historical events which occured during the respective emperor's reign are also recorded. The present article contains the Latin edition of 'Tabula Chronologica' together with its Czech translation and commentary.
