Tourism is one of the most important and fast developing sectors. It includes activities, services and enterprises that deliver travel experience. The quality and quantity of these determine tourist success in any region. Therefore, it is important for a tourist area to identify tourism supply components as tourists need a place to stay, eat and other facilities. The study presents an illustrated statistical analyses of tourism accommodation base in the Wielkopolska region. The purpose of this research is to analyze the actual state of the lodging industry, the offer of tourist accommodation base. Tourist accommodation is one of hospitality industry sub-sector. Thus, it is an important supply component, particularly in the course of tourist travels. The results indicate that Wielkopolska voivodship has a diverse and rich accommodation base. There are a lot of places to stay in Wielkopolska voivodship. Nevertheless, it is important to recognize that by accommodation categories. The research shows that tourists like visiting Wielkopolska region, which is proved by Schneider and Charvata indicator.
