Abstrakty
The topic addressed by the author is processed based on extensive research of contemporary archival materials, supplemented with information from scientific, scientific-popular, popular literature and contemporary press. First of all, it is based on the results of an in-depth analysis, followed by a comprehensive evaluation and processing of the information derived from the documents of personal nature. A distinctive role is played by the information the author drew from the flight notebook of Air Force Col. J. Trnka, issued for use in 1934, and his personal records, professionally managed in domestic and foreign specialised archives. This valuable information about his air service in the Czechoslovak military aviation in the last years of its activity in the broader historical context before the break-up of Czechoslovakia is supplemented by data from archival documents professionally managed in the Military Historical Archive Bratislava and the Military Central Archive – Military Historical Archive Prague. The topic in question is a unique probe approaching the life of a young officer of the Czechoslovak Air Force in the pre-war period.
