In this article the author draws the readers’ attention to the problem of using psychoactive substances. She analyses issues concerning the professional training of social educators and their readiness to implement preventive actions. She also presents the structure and contents of the educational course entitled “Training a social educator to promote psychoactive substances prevention”, as an optional course for students.
