The study follows up on the author’s previous works dealing with the Slovak-Croatian military relationships during the World War II. The heuristic base of the paper consists mostly of the archival materials of Slovak military origin as well as foreign literature addressing the Ustasha regime in Croatia. The author put the visit of the Croatian State Secretary of the Ministry of Croatian Home Guard in Slovakia into a broader context of military and political events. In the introduction of the study, the author explained the circumstances of the Croatian state origin and the task of its own army in enforcing the power by the Ustasha political movement. In this context, the author follows the development of the Croatian military delegation to Slovakia, resulting in an agreement on weapon supplies for the Croatian regime. On the one hand, with his typical sense of detail, the author describes the formal aspect of the delegation and on the other hand, with the same approach, he analyses the follow-up negotiations on the military suppliers. In doing so, he observes the attitude of all competent institutions, including the German military authorities. Special attention is paid to the role of Gen. Čatloš in fulfilment of the Croatian requirements. However, the far-reaching conclusions on Čatloš’s power and political ambitions, derived from his commitment in developing the military and political relationships with Croatia, were not backed up by resources. It should be noted that in the period in question, Čatloš acted as a reliable German ally, who was aiming to extend the military participation of the Slovak Army at the frontline.
