Quantitative indicators in the Early Medieval pottery analysis

This contribution is based on experiences acquired during the processing of ceramic collection from the early medieval hillfort Bojná I - Valy. The aim of the contribution is to suggest several basic parameters, which could point to the quality or degree of preservation of the processed ceramic material and simultaneously enable comparison of ceramic collections from various early medieval sites in terms of quantitative or statistical parameters/indexes. It concerns in particular the pottery found in the filling of settlement objects, but it is possible to process also the material from the cultural layer.
