W artykule ukazano wpływ urbanizacji oraz industrializacji w ChRL na wzrost popytu na energię wtórną. Ze względu na strukturę zużycia pierwotnych nośników energii w tym państwie – oznacza to również wzrost popytu na węgiel kamienny. W tym celu poddano analizie tendencje w zakresie: – skali procesu urbanizacji i industrializacji w ChRL; – zużycia energii pierwotnej w ChRL na tle świata; – znaczenia węgla kamiennego w bilansie energii pierwotnej w ChRL i w świecie; – zużycia końcowego węgla kamiennego w energochłonnych sektorach gospodarki ChRL.

The article presents the impact of urbanization and industrialization in the People’s Republic of China on the increase of secondary energy demand. Because of the structure of consumption of primary energy carriers in this country – it means also the increase of hard coal demand. Taking into consideration these facts, the following tendencies were analysed: – scale of the urbanization and industrialization process in the People’s Republic of China, – primary energy consumption in the People’s Republic of China against the background of the world, – importance of hard coal in the primary energy balance in the Peoples Republic of China and in the World, – hard coal end-consumption in energy-consuming economy sectors in the People’s Republic of China.
