Abstrakty

EN

Among many natural building materials known for ages, the career of straw is just beginning to develop. Mechanically pressed and packed in bales, it was born as a building material in the USA at the end of the 19th century, and in the early 1950s it was in widespread use there. The more and more popular alternative building promotes bales as a cheap and common material. Modern straw bale building guarantees safety and comfort for its users and a broad field of creation for architects through technical solutions suitable to the material.
