Bazując na szczegółowych analizach ilościowych przeprowadzonych przez Auto rów (nieprezentowanych jednak w niniejszym artykule wprost), poddano gruntownej ocenie krytycznej obiegowe i eksperckie opinie na temat przyczyn i skutków kryzysu gospodarczego na rynku transportu drogowego w Polsce. Uzyskane rezultaty pozwoliły potwierdzić obecność światowe go kryzysu gospodarczego na polskim rynku usług transportowych oraz wskazać rok 2009, jako jego początek. Stwierdzono jednak, że kryzys miał zupełnie inne symptomy niż te wskazywane w obiegowych opiniach. Zdaniem Autorów, kryzys gospodarczy na rynku usług transportowych objawiał się nie tyle zmniejszeniem liczby przewozów i brakiem pracy na rynku dla zbyt dużej w tym okresie floty, ale problemami finansowy mi wynikającymi z radykalnego zmniejszenia zysków generowanych przez rynek, w tym zwłaszcza zysków poza operacyjnych (finansowych) oraz obniżeniem operacyjnej efektywności działania firm transportowych.
The assessment of the causes and consequences of the financial crisis to the transportation market in Poland. In the paper, based on the comprehensive quantitative analysis done by the Authors (not presented explicitly in the paper), the critical assessment of the circulating and experts” opinions on the causes and consequences of the financial crisis to the transportation market in Poland has been done. The obtained results confirmed, of course, the presence of the global financial crisis at the Polish transportation market, indicating at the same time the year 2009 as its actual b ginning. On the other hand, the results of the assessment indicated completely different causes and symptoms of the crisis than those appearing from the circulating opinions. According to the Authors, the crisis at the transportation market has been really caused not by decreasing demand for the transportation services deepened by unjustified oversized fleets. As actual reasons of the crisis at the Polish transportation market the Authors find some financial problems of the transportation companies caused by the radical decrease of profits. But what is important, not only decrease of an operational profits from the transportation activities, but decrease of profits from comprehensive activities, including financial / investment activities, combined with the decreasing operational efficiency of the transportation companies.
