The article presents the paths of organizational work leading to the construction of a strong ecosystem in the area of research and development at the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ - Polish Armaments Group). The tasks of the Innovation Policy implemented within the Group companies on the initiative of the Department of Innovation and Technological Development (DIRT) are discussed. The importance of the proposed model of an integrated R&D management system, supposed to result in increasing the competitiveness of the companies, is emphasized.
