The method of insurance expediency of stevedoring company’s responsibility for safety of con-tainers under their transshipment at port’s terminal is proposed. This method is based on representation of terminal as a queueing system of GI/G/m type and on comparison of the stevedoring company’s insurance expenditures and random value of transshipped containers’ total damage (sum insured) for a given period of time.
