W Holandii do nasadzeń na terenach zabudowanych wokół domów i zakładów pracy stosuje się asortyment roślin charakteryzujących się funkcjonalnością i walorami dekoracyjnymi. Rośliny te sadzi się przede wszystkim w dzielnicach mieszkaniowych, centrach handlowych, w pobliżu biur itp. Są to przede wszystkim rośliny tradycyjne dla danych terenów. Jest też specjalny asortyment roślin sadzonych pojedynczo w gruncie oraz w pojemnikach na placach, w centrach handlowych itp. W Holandii nie trudno zauważyć, że w przestrzeni wokół drzew przy ulicach w miastach i osiedlach, zamiast powierzchni betonowych - sadzi się krzewy ozdobnej Berberis candidula, Berberis thunbergii, Caryopteris, Chaenomeles, Ceantothus, Óornus stolonifero, - Cotoneaster, Deutzia grcicdis, Euonymus fortunei, Hedera, Hypericum, Calycinum, Ligustrum obtusifolium, Lonicera pileała, Potentilla frułicosa, Salix, Spirea joponica, Stephanandra incisa, Symphoricarpos doornbosii, Virtca

In Holland, for planting in the built areas, around dwelling houses and institutions an assortment of plants characterized by functionality and decorative qualities is used. These plants are planted first of all in residential districts, commercial centers and institutions. There is also special assortment of plants planted singly in the ground and in containers on squares and commercial centers. In Holland it is easy to see, that the area around the trees at the streets is not covered with the concrete but planted with the omamental shrubs: (Berberis candidula, Berberis thunbergii, Caryopteris, Chaenomeles, Ceantothus, Comus stolonifera, Cotoneaster, Deutzia gracilis, Euonymus fortunei, Hedera, Hypericum, Calycinum, Ligustrum obtusifolium, Lonicera pileata, Potentilla fruticosa, Salix, Spirea joponica, Stephanandra incisa, Symphoricarpos doombosii, Vinca).
