The paper presents results of numerical analysis concerning influence of wheel - rail kinetic sliding friction coefficient and of wheel flange's shear stiffness coefficient on vibrations of a Shinkansen rail-vehicle. The vehicle, moving at constant velocity (200÷300 km/h) on a rectilinear non-deformable track, is vibrating due to snaking and lateral impacts of wheel sets. Snaking is modelled according to de Pater's microspin theory, and lateral impacts are described as technical impulses.
