EN

Essentials of multistate system reliability analysis and the asymptotic approach to system reliability evaluation are introduced. The classes of limit reliability functions for multistate series, parallel, series-parallel and parallel-series systems composed of different components are fixed. Moreover, some auxiliary theorems useful in reliability evaluation of real technical large systems are given and applied to reliability evaluation of port and shipyard transportation systems. Reliability characteristics of port grain, oil and bulk cargo transportation systems and a shipyard rope transportation system are determined. The accuracy of the asymptotic approach to the reliability evaluation of those systems is illustrated in tables and figures.
