Abstrakty
Commercial solid state gas sensors have been 8000% to NO₂ and 100% to CO. Their mutual interference have been studied at several operating temperatures. The effects of the presence of CO and NO₂ are opposite on this kind of sensors, thus when both gases are present, one effect can predominate over the other, leading to different selectivities. We use this fact to successfully detect and quantify mixtures of NO₂ and CO in air using an artificial neural network.
