In the market economy you are never sure that your business will succeed. The is why the bankruptcy phenomenon activity is in a way, a naturaJ regulator in an economic system which results in disappearance of enterprises being ineffective and unable to complete successfully. The growing number of bankruptcies in Polish economy makes it necessary to do research enabling us to iind tools which will in advance be signaling problems occurring in the functioning of the enterprise.
