EN

The curent classification of solvents and diluents, according to their chemical composition, is presented. Ecological hazards connecting with use of different types of solvents are signalised. A new, alternative class of solvents, of biochemical origin and easily biodegradable is described. As an example, a using of a liquid carbon dioxide to component modern laquers is presented.
