EN

The main idea of reactive distillation is to connect reaction and separation in one apparatus. For this process exact knowledge of column internal properties is of essential. The results of experimental investigations of reactive packing MULTIPAK carried out at the column of 250mm ID are presented in the study. The investigations contained pressure drop for dry, prewetted and wetted packing, flooding line and mass transfer coefficients for gas and liquid phase. The resulting empirical correlation have been implemented into a software tool for modelling the reactive distillation. The results - concentration profiles of reagents along the column - have been received and they will be verified basing on experimental results.
