Praca dotyczy zagadnienia poprawy kontrastu achromatycznych obrazów cyfrowych. Na tle prezentowanych w literaturze metod poprawy kontrastu obrazów przedstawiono ważoną lokalną metodę poprawy kontrastu będącą uogólnieniem pewnej klasy znanych lokalnych metod poprawy kontrastu.

In this paper the problem of contrast enhancement of gray-level images is analyzed. On the background of the methods described in literature novel weighted local contrast enhancement method, which is a generalization of a certain class of local contrast enhancement method, is presented.
