Abstrakty
The results of investigations of the reduction of nitrogen oxide by ammonia in a fixed bed flow reactor of the Polish carbon sorbent AKP-5 have been presented. The kinetic curves (3(t) expressing the dependence of the degree of reduction of nitrogen oxide on time have been determined in the case of four NO inlet concentrations: 500, 1000, 2500 and 5000 ppm. It was proved that the period of unsteady-state operation of the reactor depends on the NO inlet concentrations and this period is between 5 and 10 hours. This period is independent of the contact time of the gases with the sorbent bed.
