Abstrakty
We have established the comprehensive analysis of non-dispersive solvent extraction (performed in hollow fiber modules) of zinc from hydrochloric acid solution with TBP and elucidated the consistent mathematical model, based on the general law of mass transfer continuity and on flow pattern of each phase. Eventually, a full unsteady-state mathematical model was formulated and then verified by the available experimental data. Moreover, a very important kinetic parameter (mass transfer coefficient, k) was estimated, the zinc(II) concentration profile was drawn, and the principal resistance to zinc(II) mass transfer was pointed out.
