The influence of the binder content and fineness on the strength of briquettes

The paper deals with an assessment of the influence of the parameters of a mixture to be used in the production of briquettes on their mechanical strength. Special attention has been paid to the influence of the particle size of the used materials. For the analysis of the mechanical strength indices a complex independent variable was applied, which takes into account both the binding agents content and the particle size of the briquetted material. It has been shown that the application of such an independent variable allows more accurate assessment of the fineness influence on the quality of the produced briquettes.
