EN

The process of thermal ageing of electric rotating machines was interpreted as a chemical reaction whose speed exponentially increases with temperature. The main reference point was characterised by the equation binding together the reagent's concentration changes in time. The obtained investigation results revealed that the Montsinger equation has an approximate features which, in turn, gives only approximate values of reactive coefficients. One of those coefficients was taken as a variable and the standardise of insulation work time was performed. Some quantities deserting the measures of relative thermal insulation ageing (,,ageing up") ware introduced namely ageing intensity and equivalent ageing temperature. This equivalent temperature and ageing intensity for A, B and H class insulation were found for different time temperature relations. The results clearly indicate that the equivalent time rate temperature as deserted above is always higher then the mean value of the mean temperature and being only slightly dependent on insulation class. The ageing intensity is, in turn, highly dependent on it.
