Abstrakty
The energy absorption potential of a geotextile is nowadays considered a property worth incorporating into national European norms. As the research from independent institutes and DuPont de Nemours demonstrate, there is a correlation between the resistance of a geotextile to the installation stresses and its energy absorption potential. The common reference properties for specifying a geotextile, such as tensile strength or static puncture resistance, do not always reflect the product performance during installation. The importance of installing a geotextile that will resists possible damages during installation has been recognized.
