Bioremediation of soil contaminated with diesel oil using Fenton's reaction and biodegradation

Abstrakty
A coupled abiotic-biotic treatment scheme for remediation of diesel oil contaminated soil was investigated. Mineralization of hydrocarbons was initially optimized with minimum reactant usage (Fe3+ and rfoOa) for protecting microorganisms life at acidic and neutral pH. It was possible to achieve high diesel oil hydrocarbons degradation in Fenton's reaction using small amount of hydrogen peroxide including the special reactant dosage program. The program allowed one to obtain high surviving of microorganisms and good biodegradation results.
