PL

Idea miejskiej produkcji żywności przeżywa okres gwałtownego rozwoju na całym świecie. Obecnie uprawy miejskie spotykamy zarówno w krajach rozwijających się, jak i w krajach bogatego Zachodu, gdzie przybierają one różne formy - począwszy od wykorzystywania wolnych skrawków terenu, a skończywszy na zaawansowanych technologicznie farmach w wieżowcach, opracowywanych przez znanych architektów i ośrodki naukowe. Farmy miejskie postrzegane są dziś jako przedsięwzięcia wpisujące się w strategie ekorozwoju miast dzięki wykorzystywaniu nieużytków, przyspieszaniu recyklingu organicznych odpadów, poprawie gospodarowania wodą oraz wpływaniu na klimat i różnorodność fauny i flory, a także dzięki działaniu na rzecz przyrodniczej rewitalizacji miast.

The idea of urban food production is developing intensely all over the world. These days, we can observe urban crops in both the developing countries and the rich West where they assume various forms - from the use of free patches of land down to technologically advanced farms in high-rise buildings designed by well-known architects and the leading centers of research. Nowadays, urban farms are perceived as enterprises adjusting to the strategies of the eco-development of cities owing to the use of wastelands, the accelerated recycling of organic waste, improved water management, an impact on the climate and fauna & flora diversification, as well as some actions for the sake of the natural revitalization of cities.
