The Brooklyn Bridge was called the Eighth Wonder of the World from the time it was completed in 1883. Now it is still considered as a symbol of New York. But in the city that has not many monuments of good architecture, there is plenty of great samples of work of engineering other than famous bridge. The city in its short but eventful history developed all what to be to develop in the field of urban infrastructure. Monumental aqueduct, elevated and underground railways etc. But in the "city that never sleeps" there is no place for anything that is not in use and is not profiting any more.
