Calatrava's station in Lyon - Satolas and Sondica in Bilbao evidently echoes Eero Saarinen's TWA Terminal at Kennedy Airport in New York in its suggestion of a bird in flight are very interesting, but it is more exuberant than its American ancestor. These references to the animal world are typical of the work of Calatrava. But not only for him. On other large-scale airports projects we can find another references to the natural world. Very often it is a bird in fly sometimes bird is preparing to fly. As some architects evolve toward more and more immaterial buildings, otherr invest themselves in designs that seem to be quitessentially related to monumentality and hight technology at it was defined on the end in the 20th century. The special character of the buildings derives from this balance between nature and hight technology. Despite its vast scale new airlines terminals offers a friendly, light filled interior, where the high-tech nature of its design does not overly encumber open spaces. We have became aware of destruction on a global scale and have noticed that the nature that surrounds us does no longer sends out harmonious messages. Each of these buildings were designed by the "stars" of the world of architecture and they decided which style is more important and "en vogue" today.
