Abstrakty

EN

The performance of new building technologies sporadically and unexpectedly is not satisfactory. It happens when not all building details have been carefully analysed and correctly designed. The paper deals with two such exemplary cases. They are crucial spots in the building envelope of a one-family house. A window and door frame-to-reveal connections turned out to be thermal bridges and vapour condensation areas where destruction process begun. An analysis of faulty details as well as methods of necessary improvements designed to diminish the further damage to the building have been presented.
