Abstrakty
Multimedia basis with digital audio signals are often used in production processes of TV and radio stations. It is important to have a fast access to that resources querying their diverse audio content. Searching process can be speed up if an appropriate labelling (indexing) of signals is used. MPEG-7 system supplies us with a general standard of labelling in terms of the so-called descriptors. The paper concerns determination of a set of descriptors which can allows to classify pizzicato sound signals generated by 8 different chordophone instruments being a subset of strings.
