Abstrakty

EN

The role of the mathematical notion of analyticity in physics is discussed. The use of the complex plane by Kramers and Kronig in deriving their famous dispersion relations is recalled. The consequences of the extension of energy to the complex plane in scattering of particles and to the concept of the Regge poles are analyzed.
