Abstrakty
It is proposed in this paper that the finite element analysis of a DC brushless motor with a polar anisotropic plastic magnet should be diveded into two steps: Magnetizing Process and Characteristic Analysis of the Motor. In the case of the magnetizing process, the magnetic flux distribution in a permanent magnet-type injection mold is analyzed to determine the direction of magnetization in the plastic magnet. In the characteristic analysis of the motor, the polar anisotropic oriented plastic magnet obtained from the magnetizing process, is employed as the rotor in the DC brushless motor to observe the main functional characteristics. Analytical results obtained from both steps are compared with experimental ones to evaluate the proposed method.
