PL

Istotnym zagadnieniem przy tworzeniu systemów rozproszonych jest możliwość integracji różnych aplikacji. Standard OMG CORBA (Common Request Broker Architecture) umożliwia rozwiązanie tego problemu poprzez możliwość integracji aplikacji pracujących na różnych platformach sprzętowych, korzystających z różnych systemów operacyjnych. Standard CORBA definiuje mechanizmy współdziałania systemów rozproszonych. Główną rolę odgrywa ORB (Object Request Broker), który umożliwia zlokalizowanie odpowiedniego serwera i przeźroczystą komunikację pomiędzy serwerem a klientem. ORB składa się z jądra oraz otaczających interfejsów. W artykule przedstawiono aktualną specyfikację oraz przegląd standardu CORBA ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zagadnień czasu rzeczywistego i standardu Real-Time CORBA 1.0 będącego częścią specyfikacji CORBA 3.0

A vital problem for distributed computer systems is the possibility of integration of different applications. The standard for distributed environment OMG CORBA (Common Request Broker Architecture) enables the solution of this problem. This technology integrates systems working on different hardware platform in different operating systems. CORBA standard defines the mechanisms of shearing services. The key rule plays ORB (Object Request Broker) which enables location of suitable server and transparent communication between client and server. ORB consists of core and surroundings interfaces. This paper presents actual CORBA specification with particular consideration of real-time problems and specification of Real-Time CORBA 1.0 which is part of CORBA 3.0 specification.
