Recommendations given in the standards for checking the design ultimate limit state ULS and serviceability limit state SLS only apply if the design meets the design requirements. Therefore, all recommendations and design requirements to be considered as equivalent to the recommenda- tions for conducting calculations. This paper presents the requirements of European standard EC 6 in materials for masonry, minimum thickness and area of wall, and bonding of masonry and joints in the wall of the recommendations contained in the Polish National Annex.
