The article presents a complex attempt to evaluate combat readiness of modem tanks selective group in ordinance. Characteristic combat features of tanks have been provided giving appropriate measures. It results from the conducted analysis that the highest combat potential, clearly better than others, is characteristic for the French tank, Leclerc, mainly due to its great fire power and mobility. The Polish Armed Forces are equipped with low combat potential tanks. The analysis method applied may be used to evaluate and compare different kind of military equipment.
