Abstrakty

EN

NATO collective defence system comprises the sum of its members’ defence potentials. The treaty signatories were obliged to develop both their individual and collective defence capabilities, particularly through constant and mutual help. This means that the member Vstate’s capability to render help for the other party outside its own territory, as well as support this help on its own territory makes up the key element of its defence capability and consequently the defence system of the state. The author believes that it is necessary to create a central coordination- planning body for the HNS needs on the Council of Ministers’ level. It is also worth considering if the government's proxy for HNS issues should perform this role.
