Reservoir properties of carbonate rocks were investigated with the use of ANN. The problem was difficult because of a type of pore space of such kinds of rocks (microcaverns, fractures, heterogeneity). So, authors decided to complete petrophysical database with results of microscopic analysis of images. Also laboratory measurements of fracture porosity and permeability were applied in neural simulations. A simulation was done in two steps. In the first, results of microscopic analysis were interpolated on the whole database, in the second permeability coefficients were simulated. Correlation of experimental and simulated data gave value of correlation coefficient 0.98.
