EN

Emissions of hydrocarbons cause perturbations in the chemical composition of the atmosphere, particularly, they combine with oxides of nitrogen and sunlight to form ozone, an oxidant that has harmful effects on plant and animal life. Emissions comprise a board spectrum of species and they come from number and variety of sources. They include: production, transport, storage and distribution of fossil fuels; combustion processes; industrial production processes; solvent use; biological processes. Some emission data have been done. Verious strategies to control of hydrocarbon release have been mentioned.
