The RFID technology in the US Armed Forces : from logistics to personnel management
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
Mikrochipy S-RFID udoskonalą system dowodzenia i zarządzania oddziałami w teatrze działań zbrojnych.
The RFID technology, implemented by the US armed forces since the mid-1990s, has revolutionized the supply chain management within the Total Asset Visibility system. The new generation RFID tags are combined with GPS systems and satellite communication technology. In the near future American soldiers will probably be labeled with implanted RFID chips. This will not only help in the localization and identification of the lost, injured and dead military personnel but will be used for tracking the troops. Thus the S-RFID microchips will improve command and management of men in the field.
